observing the technician (RBT)

Observing the technician (RBT)

While conducting supervision of a technician you observed several errors. You are observing the technician (RBT) following all aspects of a teaching plan accurately including having the reinforcer prepared, prompting with the least to most strategies, and using a fixed ratio of one reinforcement schedule. You noticed the technician waited until the end of the session to record record the clients responses to each trial instead of after each trial as called for in the plan. What type of feedback would you provide to the technician and how would you go about providing the feedback to correct these behaviors and ensuring these errors are corrected

The type of feedback that I would provide to the technician would be to provide a brief verbal corrective and remind the technician to repeat the teaching session with a fixed ratio schedule. I would provide this feedback in private because it is just as important as it is to note errors in the first place. It seems as though the technician has been doing well, however I do not want him to think that these errors are okay and continue them. It will be good for him to understand how important it is that he always follows directions and continues to practice all aspects of his teaching plan consistently. Besides, it is not always the most obvious errors that people make, it is the subtle ones that are more noticeable and require more attention. I believe these errors were more noticeable because the technician used a fixed ratio schedule and not a variable ratio schedule which allows for occasional error.

Mixed Methods Research: Merging Theory with Practice,

Prior to beginning work on this discussion, read Chapters 1 and 2 of the Hesse-Biber e-book, Mixed Methods Research: Merging Theory with Practice, and the two required articles for this week. Mixed methods is a current popular methodology. While this type of methodology is useful for some studies, because of its dual nature as both quantitative and qualitative, it is not effective or appropriate for all research.

For this discussion, you will consider the use of mixed methods for the topic you have chosen for your Research Proposal. In your initial post, apply the scientific method to your research topic by defining your research question and determining the method(s) necessary to answer that question.  https://academicessays.xyz/business/requiredhill-c-w-l-hult-g-t-m-2020-global-business-today-11th-ed-n-2/ Compare the characteristics and appropriate uses of the different methods and explain if your research question could best be answered through qualitative or quantitative methods, or a mix of both. Identify the dominant method (quantitative or qualitative) for your proposed study. Explain whether or not a mixed methods approach is the best way to study the topic,  https://academicwriterblog.com/nursing/explanation-of-your-strengths-and-challenges-as-they-apply-to-pediatrics-and-the-2/ demonstrating that the second method is not added as an afterthought or merely to impress journal editors who favor mixed methods. If you have decided not to use mixed methods, explain why the study is best completed with either a quantitative or qualitative focus. Justify your design choice and support your position with scholarly sources. Include a discussion explaining how you would apply ethical principles to your design to address concerns which may impact your research.

Emily:

I currently work in the construction industry, specifically in horizontal construction including building and paving roads and concrete delivery. In my experience, I believe there are several attributes that cause the construction industry to have higher injury and illness rates. For example, many accidents occur in roadway workzones. In workzones there are so many factors that we have no control over include distracted drivers, impaired drivers, environmental factors such as weather and the grounds we work on which can lead to slips, trips and falls. In addition, the construction industry tends to focus on manual labor. There tends not be consistency in day to day work within roadway construction leading to people working in a performance mode that leads to more incidents. I believe the biggest cause is the overall lack of control and stability within the construction environment, everything is constantly changing everyday and every week.

Section I: Background

Acme General Contractors is the general contractor for a new 20-story commercial building in downtown Centerville, USA. The building will use a rigid-frame structure and reinforced concrete construction. A major subcontractor on the project who will be performing the roofing and interior insulation and drywall installation has hired you as the safety officer.

Section II: Assignment

1. Analyze the hazards associated with the roofing and the interior work. You should identify at least three hazards for each activity.

2. Perform a risk assessment on three of the hazards that you identified for each activity (six total) using the 4 X 5 matrix shown in Figure 34-1 on page 492 of the textbook or in the quantitative risk assessment form, which can be accessed by clicking   here  . (SeeAttached)

3. Prioritize the need for controls for the hazards that you selected based on the results of the risk assessment.

4. Using the hierarchy of engineering controls listed in Figure 3-3 on page 29 (SeeAttached)of the textbook, recommend a control method for each hazard that you believe would be the most effective in reducing risk to an acceptable level. Explain why you made the choice, and support your decisions with at least one reference other than the textbook.

5. Use the 4 X 5 matrix or the quantitative risk assessment form to show the reduction in risk for each hazard after the control method has been applied.

6. For any fall protection that you recommend, be specific about the type of fall protection needed.

7. Discuss how Prevention through Design (PtD) could be used to reduce the risks associated with these operations.

Prepare your project in a properly formatted APA document including a title page, the body of the paper, and a references page. The body of your paper must be a minimum of four pages in length and be double-spaced; the title page and references page will not count toward meeting the four-page minimum requirement. You must use your textbook and at least one other source outside of the textbook as references.

Assessment 1: Learning Reflection

Assessment 1: Learning Reflection

Length: 500 words (+/- 10%)

Submission: Microsoft Word (*.DOCX) file.

No referencing required- we want to know your own thinking on the questions below.

Task overview:

Each assessment in this unit represents a step in the process of completing an academic essay, so this

first assessment covers Step 1, reflecting on what you know about the topic and what aspect of the task

you will focus on.

This assessment will help you to consider what you know already about sustainability, and how it

impacts all of our lives.

You can write in first person (e.g., I, me, my) for this learning reflection as you are expected to reflect

and write on your own thoughts and views. However, you must use full sentences, correct paragraphing,

grammar, and punctuation.

Task details:

Respond to each question below in a paragraph of 150-200 words (all three questions will result in a total

word count of 500 words):

1. Describe some examples of sustainability in your life and/or profession.

2. What is it about the below scenario that interests you, and why?

Scenario:

• Extreme climate events

3. Scope your scenario and describe some of the different sustainability concerns that you think need to be considered under each of the three dimensions (environmental, social, and economic).

Guidelines to help you complete this task:

• Read the questions carefully, stay on topic and stick to the word limit for each question and overall.

• Use Scoop-it to help inform your ideas. https://www.scoop.it/topic/extreme-climate-events

• Structure your response to each question in one complete paragraph.

• The reflective writing genre differs from essay writing.

• A learning reflection should give your original thoughts, knowledge and/or ideas on a topic with no

concern about being right or wrong.

• It should relate to the topic through meaningful, everyday life experience.

• Try to challenge yourself to reflect critically and analytically about sustainability in your answers.
