Critical Analysis of Professional Research Article: The student will choose a peer-reviewed article related to ultrasound physics and/or instrumentation from a professional journal (SDMS/AIUM) and prepare a three to four page report on this article. The report should include,
(1) a summary of the ideas that are central to the article,
(2) an analysis critiquing the article (i.e. is the article professional in nature, are the resources utilized by the author appropriate, how is it written, are certain parts of the article relevant where others are not, etc.),
(3) the importance of this article to the field of sonography, and
(4) research the topic of the article and link it to a current development or specialty (i.e. relate an article on spatial compounding to the improvements in micro-tumor detection)
