DB#6: Open source tradecraft for law enforcement

There is a need for law enforcement to understand open source tradecraft. In many ways, open source information holds some of the greatest value for the intelligence process because of the vast array of diverse reliable information that is available for analysis—this is particularly true with digital networking.

Please discuss:

I) What your understanding of open source tradecraft for law enforcement is,

II) Relevance to managing intelligence analysis functions during an investigation and/or threat management to avoid violence.
