Eva Kittay is an ethicist and feminist philosopher at SUNY Stony Brook. In this article, she develops an ethics of care approach to the moral issues that arise from the global system of migrant carework. As you read, take note of any possible strategies that Kittay raises for protecting migrant workers’ rights to care. Also, consider whether you are convinced that Kittay has correctly identified a major reason why the global system of migrant carework is morally problematic.
