According to Myers, Simonsen & Freeman (2020), Positive Behavioral Interventions Supports (PBIS) is a framework for ensuring schools and classes are more effective learning environments. It facilitates the development of behavior and a social culture supporting the unique needs of every student to improve their behavioral, academic, emotional, and social outcomes. Several PBIS initiatives have been implemented in my Student Teaching Placement to help learners improve their learning. These strategies are flexible enough to support the learners, their families, and the larger community. They include routines, silent signals, tangible reinforces, positive phrasing, and proximity to students. As teachers, our job is very challenging. We are responsible for molding and guiding future world leaders towards educational excellence.
